Basic Chemistry I (MLS 1122) is designed to provide basic knowledge in fundamentals of organic, physical and analytical chemistry that is relevant for applying scientific principles and learning techniques and procedures in medical laboratory.

Medical Laboratory Practice (MLP) is conducted at the First year, 01st Semester consisted with 4 credits. Course unit MLP introduces the concepts of Medical Laboratory Science from the outset which increases students’ motivation and satisfaction as it shows the importance and relevance of the course content to active practice. It gives introduction to the major disciplines in the filed of Medical Laboratory Science; Microbiology, Haematology, Histopathology and Chemical Pathology.
